Welcome to Vanity Threads Custom Embroidery and Dogonista by Vanity Threads, specializing in quality products for dogs and their humans. 

A 9 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy we dubbed Raasa ("Rah-sah" meaning “shoots with an arrow”) joined our family in 1995.  Vanity Threads was born ten years and several Ridgebacks later as a result of our growing frustration at not being able to buy anything featuring Rhodesian Ridgebacks.  After repeatedly proclaiming that “somebody" ought to offer things for owners of both common and rare pure bred dogs, we decided to become that “somebody.”

Over the years our design library of dog and dog-related designs has grown to more than 1,000 designs, including a number of rarer breed dogs. We also have a large selection of other designs ranging from other animals to wine and everything in between. In addition, we offer logos and other custom embroidery for businesses and organizations.

Unlike most embroiderers who offer primarily T-shirts and sweatshirts, Vanity Threads chose to offer quality outerwear (vests and jackets) as well as a variety of accessories including caps, aprons, towels and tote bags.  The vast majority of garments and accessories we embroider are custom orders designed and embroidered to the customer's unique specifications, but we do offer some presewn items.

At the request of our customers, we have added several handmade items to our offerings over the years.  Dogonista by Vanity Threads offers a variety of products handmade by us, Bruce and Pat, in the USA.  These include our unique dog drool bibs as well as clip collars, velvet-lined Martingales and lure coursing slip leads featuring  dozens of  beautiful Jacquard ribbons sized to fit every breed from the tiniest toy to the largest gentle giant.  We also offer handmade embroidered pillows, and  handmade embroidered Christmas stockings for both dogs and their people.

We are beginning our online offerings with our unique Dog Drool Bibs, Drool Towels, Jacquard Ribbon Clip Collars, velvet-lined Martingales and Lure Coursing Leads as well as a few "people products." Embroidery designs and other Vanitythreads products will be added in the future.
